Arabs Got Talent contestant Jennifer Grout said to have converted to Islam.

23 years old American singer, best known for her pitch-perfect rendition of the classic Arabian despite not knowing the language, seems to have received the faith in a YouTube video that was released on Sunday.

video has she declared the shahada — otherwise known as a declaration of faith — in front of the two men in which he stated: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet.”

While the video is still to be confirmed by Jennifer Grout, Moroccan news website World News confirmed the video was recorded in Fes, where Grout was studying the Arabic language.

Speaking exclusively to The National after bowing out of the competition, Grout said he plans to spend time contemplating his future after the event.

“I do not know,” he said.
